Prince William reportedly wants to exclude Prince Harry from his coronation, as per a Sunday Times article published on Saturday to mark Harry’s 40th birthday.
The Duke of Cambridge, 42, aims for his future crowning, after his father’s death, King Charles III, 75, to “look and feel different.” This might mean Harry’s absence from the ceremony.
Sources close to William revealed that he does not want Harry, 39, to attend the coronation.
The brothers have been estranged for nearly two years following Harry’s departure from his royal duties and moving to California in 2020. Since then, Harry has publicly criticized the royal family through his 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, the Netflix docuseries “Arry & Meghan,” and his memoir, ”pare.”
This ongoing feud has left Harry estranged from William and their father, King Charles III, who became monarch after Queen Elizabeth II died in 2022.
A friend of King Charles has expressed concern that further discussions with Harry could lead to more revelations in a potential sequel to ”Pare” Despite this, the friend noted that willingness to forgive remains strong. However, other family members are less inclined to reconcile with Harry.
Criticism of Harry’s actions also comes from his close friends. One such friend condemned the decision, publicly criticizing his family, calling it ” outrageously disloyal” and referring to the Oprah interview, Netflix series, and memoir as “three strikes” against him.
A former aide to Harry observed that since moving away from the UK and falling out with his family, Harry seems to lack a clear purpose.
Although he has found satisfaction in his work with the Invictus Games and fatherhood, the aide noted that other aspects of his life appear uncertain.
In a recent ITV interview with Rebecca Barry, Harry addressed his strained family relationships and attributed part of the discord to the royal family’s reluctance to confront media scrutiny.
He acknowledged that discussing his family often results in negative press coverage.
Tensions were further heightened by claims made during the Oprah interview, where Meghan Markle alleged that the royal family expressed concerns about the potential skin colour of their son, Archie.

In ‘Spare’, Harry also criticized Quecriticized Camilla, accusing her of using PR tactics against him, and referred to Prince William as his “beloved brother and arch-nemesis,” detailing their past conflicts.
