Prince Harry demanded to know the individual responsible for revoking his automatic police protection, as disclosed in court documents.
The Duke of Sussex faced a setback in his legal battle with the Home Office concerning his entitlement to armed security, resulting in potential legal costs amounting to £1 million, as reported by the Times.
The 52-page court ruling unveiled Harry’s frustration and disbelief towards the government’s decision, citing a letter addressed to the then-Cabinet Secretary, Sir Mark Sedwill.

In the letter, Harry draws parallels between his situation and the circumstances leading to Princess Diana’s tragic demise in 1997.
Expressing dismay over facing a “greater risk” amidst “additional layers of racism and extremism,” he demanded the accountability of the individual responsible for the decision.
Furthermore, Harry speculated that the decision might have been made hastily without sufficient consultation, possibly as a punishment for prioritizing his family’s safety.
Following the High Court’s ruling, Harry’s legal team announced plans for an appeal, emphasizing the pursuit of fair and lawful application of rules by the decision-making body, Ravec.
The appeal aims to ensure Harry receives equal consideration as per Ravec’s written policy, highlighting the failure to apply the policy during a risk analysis in February 2020.
Amidst the ongoing legal proceedings, the Duke of Sussex refrains from further comments, expressing hopes for justice through the Court of Appeal.
