Julia Wandelt, a 23-year-old Polish woman, was arrested at Bristol Airport on suspicion of stalking and harassing Madeleine McCann’s parents.
She had travelled from Wroclaw, Poland, to meet a friend in Cardiff, who was also taken into custody.
Authorities confirmed the arrest, stating both women were detained for stalking involving serious alarm and distress and remain in police custody as investigations continue.
Despite previous DNA results proving she was not Madeleine, Julia recently released new claims suggesting a biological link to Gerry McCann.
She had previously appeared on Dr. Phil in 2023, asserting she could be the missing child. However, after receiving death threats, she later apologized to Kate and Gerry McCann, expressing regret for the ordeal.
Julia now alleges that a world expert has compared her DNA to samples from the crime scene of Madeleine’s disappearance, claiming a 69.23% match linking her to Gerry McCann.
This week, Julia also shared an audio clip on Instagram, stating she attempted to contact Gerry McCann. However, the man on the other end hung up, insisting she had the wrong number.
