A Polish tourist died after falling from the fifth-floor balcony of a hotel in Phuket, Thailand, while drinking with his wife.
The man, identified only as Sławomir, 34, reportedly stood up on the balcony while intoxicated and lost his balance before plunging to his death in the early hours of Saturday.
His wife, who witnessed the tragic fall, immediately contacted local authorities. Police arrived at the scene and discovered Sławomir’s lifeless body below the hotel.
An autopsy will be carried out to determine the exact cause of death.
Thai officials said they would coordinate with the Polish embassy to arrange for the repatriation of the man’s body.
