A shocking photo has emerged, illustrating the narrow escape Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu faced from an explosive drone attack, which cracked the window of his bedroom in Caesarea.

On Tuesday, the Israeli military released an image showcasing the damage inflicted on the upper floor of Netanyahu’s home, where the blast shattered a reinforced glass window and damaged the surrounding wall.

Trees near the window were also blown off and burned by the drone explosion, although no injuries were reported, as Netanyahu and his wife were not home during the attack on Saturday.

The attack, claimed by the Iran-backed terrorist group Hezbollah, underscores the group’s intent to continue operations aimed at targeting Netanyahu. Hezbollah announced its opposition to any cease-fire negotiations with Israel as the Israeli government considers an Egyptian-backed proposal for a two-week halt in the ongoing Gaza conflict.

This Egyptian proposal aims to secure the release of six hostages in Gaza, with hopes that a temporary cease-fire could facilitate the release of all captives and help end the war. An Israeli official revealed that the approach was modified to focus on more minor, manageable agreements rather than more significant, complex deals facing obstacles.

The plan was introduced by Hassan Mahmoud Rashad, the new head of Egyptian intelligence, who recently met with his Israeli counterpart to discuss hostage negotiations.

Efforts to revive these negotiations gained urgency following the death of Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar, the mastermind behind the October 7 attack, who was killed in an airstrike in Rafah last Thursday.

In a bid to advance discussions with Hamas, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Israel on Tuesday. However, it remains uncertain whether Hamas will accept a new deal, given its previous rejections of similar proposals and lack of indication that it is open to further negotiations.
