Pete Davidson, 30, is reportedly seeking help for his mental health struggles, having recently checked into a wellness facility, according to a new report.
The comedian, known for his roles in “Bodies Bodies Bodies” and his candid discussions about mental health, decided to take this step to prioritize his well-being.
A source informed PEOPLE on Wednesday that Davidson’s commitment to focusing on his health has always been a critical priority.
In addition to addressing his mental health, Davidson is also concentrating on his sobriety while continuing to stay active in his career. Friends and family have expressed their pride in his proactive approach to self-care.
Davidson has a history of seeking treatment for mental health issues, including his ongoing battle with borderline personality disorder and severe post-traumatic stress disorder. Most recently, in June 2023, he entered a facility to address challenges related to his PTSD and borderline personality diagnoses.
The comedian has been open about his struggles and recovery. During a stand-up performance at a comedy show in Atlantic City on September 10, 2023, Davidson humorously discussed his recent stint in rehab.
“I am fresh out of rehab, everyone,” he said, adding, “I got that post-rehab glow.” He also joked, “Seventh time’s the charm!”
Davidson shared that he had been using ketamine, a dissociative drug employed both as an anaesthetic and a treatment for depression. He described the experience as “magical,” humorously noting, “One time, I got The Wiggles to mesh with Schindler’s List.”
The Post has contacted Davidson’s representative for further comment on his current treatment and health status.
