Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali faces threats from South Africans after his remarkable display against their national team in the AFCON.
Nwabali, who also plays for Chippa United in South Africa, showcased his talent during Wednesday’s semi-final clash against the Bafana Bafana.
Former Super Eagles international Idah Peterside revealed the threats on Channels Television, ensuring no violence erupted.
Despite Nwabali’s stellar performance, saving multiple attempts during regulation time and two crucial spot-kicks during the penalty shootout, some South Africans are reportedly displeased with him for thwarting their team’s chances of reaching the finals.
