Nicki Minaj Fined After Arrest at Amsterdam Airport for Alleged Drug Possession
Nicki Minaj was fined after being apprehended by the police at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport for allegedly carrying drugs.
The Dutch authorities confirmed the release of a 41-year-old American woman who was arrested on suspicion of exporting soft drugs.
Following discussions with the Public Prosecution Service, the suspect was fined and allowed to continue her journey.
Representatives for the rapper have not responded to multiple requests for comments from Page Six.
Earlier in the day, the “Starships” hitmaker admitted that marijuana was found in her luggage.
She expressed frustration over the situation, mentioning that her security had informed the authorities that the pre-rolls belonged to him.
As a result of the incident, the “Pink Friday 2” world tour stop in Manchester, England, scheduled for Saturday night, had to be postponed. A new date for the event is yet to be announced.
The Co-op Live arena released a statement expressing disappointment over the inconvenience caused by the cancellation of the show.
In a series of tweets, Minaj suggested that her arrest in Amsterdam was part of a deliberate effort to disrupt her world tour.
She accused specific individuals of attempting to sabotage her success due to jealousy.
Furthermore, she claimed to have fired her management team for allegedly overcharging her for private jets and pocketing the excess money.
In her most recent communication with her fans, Minaj informed them that she had to briefly visit the police precinct to provide a statement regarding her security.
