Mike Davis Warns New York AG Letitia James to Back Off President-Elect: “We Will Put Your Fat Ass in Prison”
A fierce ally of President-elect Donald Trump issued a strong warning to New York Attorney General Letitia James on Thursday, threatening legal consequences if she continues her legal actions against the former president.
Mike Davis, the founder of the Article III Project, an advocacy group focused on nominating conservative judges, spoke out during an appearance on “The Benny Show” podcast.
Addressing James directly, Davis warned, “I dare you to try to continue your lawfare against President Trump in his second term.”
He went on to emphasise that the incoming Trump administration would not tolerate any such actions. “Listen here, sweetheart,” Davis added. “We’re not messing around this time, and we will put your fat a– in prison for conspiracy against rights. I promise you that.”
Davis, who has been considered a potential candidate for attorney general or White House counsel in the Trump administration, urged James to think carefully before pursuing any legal actions that might infringe upon the constitutional rights of the president-elect or other Americans. “It’s not going to happen again,” Davis declared.
James, 66, has been a vocal critic of Trump and has actively pursued legal action against him. The day after Trump defeated Vice President Kamala Harris in the presidential election, James threatened to use the “rule of law” to fight back against the incoming administration, stating that her office had been preparing for several months to counter Trump’s return to power.
Earlier this year, she won a $454 million civil fraud judgment against Trump, accusing him of inflating his net worth to secure better loan and insurance terms. Trump has appealed the ruling.
In a recent interview with Newsmax, Davis suggested that the incoming Trump Justice Department would have “no patience” for what he described as “Democrat lawfare” over the next four years. He further argued that James could be in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 241, which addresses “conspiracy against rights,” if she continues to target Trump and his political allies.
Davis also responded to a Wall Street Journal report linking him to a potential role as White House counsel under Trump. However, he made it clear that he had other ambitions, writing on X (formerly Twitter), “No, thank you. I want to serve as the Viceroy.”
The escalating tensions between James and Trump’s allies signal a likely legal showdown in the coming months, with both sides preparing for continued battles over the former president’s legal challenges.
