Meghan Markle might be welcomed back into the royal family in the future, according to royal biographer and expert Tom Quinn, despite the significant rift between the Sussexes and the Firm.
However, Quinn notes that Meghan would have to physically live in England and quietly start doing what the royal family does best.
He also believes that Meghan cannot expect an apology or a complete change from the royal family.
Since Harry and Meghan shut the door on royal life in 2020 and moved to California in search of privacy, they have released several projects detailing their struggles with royal life, including Harry’s memoir “Spare,” their sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey, and their Netflix documentary “Harry & Meghan.”
According to Quinn, the Sussexes are making a last-ditch attempt to get into the royal family’s good graces for Christmas Day.
He suspects that Harry may try again to patch up the relationship, as he realises that he needs the royal family more than the royal family needs him.
However, a royal reunion is off the table due to the furore over Omid Scobie’s explosive tell-all biography, “Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival.”
The royals typically spend Christmas at Sandringham House, but the Sussexes have been absent from celebrations for the last three years. Instead, they spent the festive season in their $14 million Montecito mansion with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Quinn notes that he does not think Harry and Meghan will be able to overshadow Kate and William this Christmas, at least not in the UK.
He expects the Royal family to ensure that William, Kate, and their children are evident across the Christmas holidays as it is a particular time.
