Marcus Rashford’s short romance with Love Island star Grace Jackson has ended just before the model returns to the villa for the upcoming Love Island All Stars series.
The 25-year-old Manchester United forward, who was previously in a long-term relationship with childhood sweetheart Lucia Loi before they parted ways last year, had been dating 25-year-old Grace, who appeared on this year’s season of the ITV show.
Sources revealed that Grace decided to end things after realising that Marcus was not serious about their relationship.
“Grace realised that Marcus wasn’t serious about her and has unfollowed him on Instagram. She realised there was no future, so she has decided to cut ties,” a source explained.
With her relationship with Rashford now over, Grace has eagerly accepted the opportunity to return to Love Island All-Stars this winter. “When the opportunity arose to participate in Love Island All-Stars, Grace jumped at the chance,” the insider said. “She is still young in her career and is keen to maximise the exposure to help with her modelling work and net campaign deals.”
Grace, who has built a following of 594,000 Instagram followers since leaving the villa, is focused on advancing her career and sees any potential love on the show as a bonus.
“If she finds love on the show, that’s a bonus, especially since she didn’t meet a suitable match in the summer,” the source added. “As far as she is concerned, it’s Marcus’ loss, and she is putting her best foot forward and can’t wait to enjoy some winter sun in gloomy January.”
In August, Grace landed a six-figure deal with fashion and shoe brand EGO, further solidifying her place in the fashion industry. An ITV spokesperson said, “Any names suggested are speculation until our line-up is officially announced.”
Meanwhile, Rashford, who has won 60 senior international caps for England, was notably dropped from Manchester United’s squad for last weekend’s derby against bitter rivals Manchester City.
He recently hinted that he is considering leaving Old Trafford. During a visit to his former primary school, Button Lane, in Manchester, to hand out Christmas presents, Rashford said, “I think I’m ready for a new challenge.”
