Manhunt in Arizona for Suspect Who Threatened to Kill Trump Before His Rally
A search is currently underway in Arizona for Ronald Lee Syrvud, a 66-year-old man who has allegedly threatened to kill former President Donald Trump.
The threat comes ahead of a Trump rally scheduled to take place in Arizona later today.
The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office has identified Syrvud and reported that he has outstanding warrants from Wisconsin for DUI and failure to appear in court related to DUI charges.
Syrvud also faces charges in Graham County, Arizona, including hit-and-run and felony failure to register as a sex offender. Additionally, there is an absconder hold on Syrvud due to his failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.
The threat against Trump follows a recent incident where an assassination attempt was made on the Republican presidential nominee during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, last month. Authorities are intensifying their search for Syrvud in light of these developments.
