Manchester United have announced the departure of three senior players following their final Premier League match of the season—a 2-0 win over Aston Villa at Old Trafford.
Christian Eriksen, Victor Lindelof, and Jonny Evans will all leave the club this summer, the Red Devils confirmed after Sunday’s victory.

Goals from Amad Diallo and Eriksen, who scored from the penalty spot, secured a rare win to close out what has been a disappointing campaign under Ruben Amorim.
Aston Villa ended the match with 10 men after goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez was sent off for a foul on Rasmus Hojlund. The result denied Villa Champions League qualification.
Eriksen, 33, departs after making 107 appearances since joining United on a free transfer in 2022. Lindelof, who joined from Benfica in 2017, made 284 appearances and lifted both the FA Cup and League Cup during his time at Old Trafford.
Evans, who returned for a second spell in 2023, leaves after more than 200 games across both stints at the club.
In a club statement, United thanked the trio for their contributions and wished them well for the future.

Speaking to fans after the match, Amorim delivered a heartfelt message: “First of all, I want to apologise for this season.
I know you ary disappointed with me and the team. But now we have to make a choice—do we stick in the past or move forward?”
He added, “Six months ago, I said a storm was coming. But today, after this disastrous season, I want to tell you the good days are coming.”
Manchester United had recently suffered a Europa League final defeat to Tottenham and finished the season well below expectations. However, Amorim insisted the club’s history proves its ability to recover from adversity.
“Thank you very much and see you next season,” he told supporters.
