Kylian Mbappe’s Real Madrid Salary: How Much Will He Earn in Wages?
Kylian Mbappe is set to receive a substantial amount of money from his first contract with Real Madrid, as the details of his salary, wages, and net worth have now been confirmed.
After leaving Paris-Saint Germain as a free agent this summer, there was much speculation about where the World Cup winner, widely regarded as one of the best strikers in world football, would end up next.
Both Arsenal and Liverpool reportedly explored the possibility of signing Mbappe, and he even expressed openness to joining the Gunners.
However, both clubs were hesitant to break their wage structure.
Despite interest from other clubs, Real Madrid remained the most likely destination for Mbappe.
Now that it has been officially announced that he will be joining the La Liga and Champions League winners, fans are eager to know the financial details of his contract.
According to widespread reports, Mbappe will earn slightly over £250,000 per week from his weekly wages alone after tax in the Spanish capital.
His yearly salary will amount to £12.8m after tax, and he is also set to receive a significant signing-on bonus. Sky Sports has reported that the bonus will be approximately £85m, while the BBC suggests that it will be £128m.
Interestingly, Mbappe has taken a pay cut compared to his previous deal with PSG in 2022. That contract was worth an astonishing €630m (£536m) to the Frenchman, with a basic wage of around €6m (£5.1m) per month and an after-tax monthly salary of €2.7m (£2.3m).
Mbappe has signed a five-year contract with Real Madrid, which will keep him at the Santiago Bernabeu until 2029. Currently 25 years old, there is a possibility that he could still be playing for the Spanish giants when he turns 30.
However, Mbappe has already hinted that Real Madrid will not be his final club, expressing his desire to join AC Milan in the future.
As for Kylian Mbappe’s net worth, it is estimated to be around $180m (£140m) according to celebritynetworth.com. This figure is significantly lower than the net worth of Lionel Messi, 36, and Cristiano Ronaldo, 39.
