King Charles’ nephew, Peter Phillips, recently provided an update on the monarch’s health, stating that while receiving cancer treatment, the monarch is still in high spirits but is annoyed by his constraints.

According to Phillips, Charles is keen to return to work and is pressuring his medical team to let him.

During a televised interview with Sky News Australia, Phillips emphasized Charles’ pragmatism in acknowledging the need to focus on his recovery.

However, he highlighted the king’s persistent inquiries about returning to normal activities, underscoring his determination to regain his routine.

Phillips mentioned that while Charles is keen to resume normalcy, he’s frustrated by the slower-than-desired pace of his recovery.

The king has been undergoing treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer since February, which was incidentally discovered during treatment for another health issue.

In a related development, Kate Middleton also disclosed undergoing cancer treatment and preventative chemotherapy, garnering widespread support and empathy.

Phillips also touched upon his family life, praising his mother, Princess Anne, for her unwavering work ethic and resilience in the face of media scrutiny.

Despite challenges, Anne continues to fulfil her royal duties, even in her 70s, setting an example for her children. Phillips acknowledged the influence of his parents’ work ethic on his own life and highlighted their dedication to public service.

During his visit to Australia representing the International Foundation for Arts and Culture, Phillips expressed the royal family’s deep connection with the country and its people, emphasizing their shared affinity and friendships.
