Kim Kardashian, the 44-year-old founder of SKIMS, has announced her brand’s latest collection, “Winter Heat,” which will launch on December 18.
The campaign features Kardashian modelling a revealing faux fur bikini ensemble, comprising a triangle bralette and thong, priced at $82 and available in three colours.
Promotional images, shared on Instagram, showcase Kardashian in the scant faux fur set, complemented by knee-high boots and a blonde hairstyle, a departure from her signature dark locks. The look drew comparisons to iconic figures, with some fans likening her appearance to Beyoncé.
Reactions to the campaign have been mixed. While some praised the bold aesthetic, others questioned the practicality of faux fur swimwear.
One commenter humorously asked, “Kim, where are we wearing this to?” Another quipped, “Does this mean we can stop shaving?”
This isn’t Kardashian’s first foray into fur-themed swimwear. In 2015, she posed in a similar “furkini” designed by then-husband Kanye West.
The “Winter Heat” collection follows a series of notable developments for SKIMS, including collaborations with Dolce & Gabbana and The North Face, as well as the opening of its first flagship store on New York City’s Fifth Avenue. The launch event attracted celebrities such as Cardi B, Paris Hilton, and Ice Spice.
As the holiday season approaches, it remains to be seen whether Kardashian will incorporate pieces from the fur-infused “Winter Heat” collection into her festive wardrobe.
