Kim Kardashian has once again ignited debate online after showcasing her controversial Skims face shapewear in a glamorous yet provocative fashion shoot.
The 44-year-old reality star turned her latest product launch into a viral moment, styling the Seamless Sculpt Face Wrap during a private plane trip with sister Khloé Kardashian and close friend La La Anthony.
Kardashian, never one to shy away from criticism, shared a series of images on Instagram with the caption, “When in Korea,” flaunting both her daring fashion sense and her new line of accessories.
She paired the $48 face wrap with a dramatic brown fur coat layered over a sheer Saint Laurent jumpsuit, originally priced at $828 but marked down to $370, made from delicate hosiery material.
In one of the more risqué snaps, Kardashian posed in a bathroom, pulling back her coat to reveal the sheer one-piece outfit underneath.
Khloé Kardashian and Anthony were also pictured modelling the face wraps, continuing to lend star power to the Skims campaign. The product, unveiled last month, has drawn both intrigue and criticism online.
Even Oscar-winning actor Anthony Hopkins joined the viral conversation, humorously referencing his The Silence of the Lambs” character while testing the unusual garment.
Despite the mockery, Kardashian had the final say as the product quickly sold out, with Skims reporting overwhelming demand for the jaw-supporting wrap.
Khloé added to the playful tone by commenting under Kim’s post, joking, “I can’t believe there’s not an ostrich emoji because I feel like I look like an ostrich in the best way possible.”
While many fans praised the creativity of the photo shoot, others were quick to poke fun at the spectacle.
One social media user quipped, “Y’all flying back from Turkey??” — a nod to the country’s reputation as a hub for cosmetic surgery tourism.
Some critics also drew comparisons between Kim’s outfit and the wardrobe of Kanye West’s wife, Bianca Censori, who is frequently seen wearing sheer hosiery looks instead of traditional clothing.
Both Kardashian and Censori have become known for pairing oversized fur pieces with striking, pants-free ensembles.
