Kim Kardashian made a memorable appearance at the LACMA Art+Film Gala on Saturday night, showcasing a stunning white gown that was elegantly complemented by Princess Diana’s iconic amethyst cross.

The 44-year-old star of The Kardashians showcased the late royal’s amethyst cross, adorned with square-cut amethysts and circular-cut diamonds, which Kardashian purchased for nearly $200,000 at Sotheby’s Royal & Noble auction in 2023.

Kardashian paired the stunning necklace with a floor-length white Gucci gown and a cream cape draped elegantly over her arms. Her dark hair was styled in a chic bob with flipped ends, adding to her sophisticated look. The gala, which honored artist Simone Leigh and filmmaker Baz Luhrmann, provided a glamorous backdrop for Kardashian’s ensemble.

Princess Diana wore the amethyst cross on a long pearl chain during the Birthright charity gala in London in 1987, paired with a royal purple Catherine Walker Victorian velvet gown. The symbolism and history of the piece added depth to Kardashian’s fashion statement.

Kardashian’s regal appearance came just two days after she surprised fans by dressing as an albino alligator for Halloween. The Skims founder transformed herself using green contacts, prosthetics, and paint to mimic the alligator’s white scales, a project artist Alexis Stone described as a “mammoth task” that took two weeks to create.

Kardashian’s younger sisters also celebrated Halloween in style, with Kylie Jenner channeling Jane Fonda’s iconic role in Barbarella and Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber dressing up as Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie from The Simple Life.
