Kim Kardashian unveiled a high-fashion collaboration between her brand, Skims, and Dolce & Gabbana on Thursday. The campaign, which features sister Kourtney Kardashian as a co-model, is chic and innovative.
The duo stuns in matching leopard-print looks. Kourtney, 45, sports a mock-neck dress and coordinating headscarf and holds Kim’s arm in the stylish shoot.
Kim, 44, channels an iconic Dolce & Gabbana look with a mesh catsuit under a corseted bodysuit, paying homage to pieces she highlighted in her 2022 Dolce & Gabbana fashion show.
In other shots, Kim embraces a black mesh bodysuit and thigh-high stockings with a retro beehive updo, poses with an apron, and, in a daring leopard bikini, leans from a window. Set to release on Nov. 19, the Skims x Dolce & Gabbana collection promises alluring styles, including “lustful lingerie,” “silky sleep sets,” “contouring pants,” and “body-hugging corsets.”
According to Dolce & Gabbana designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, the collaboration “merges Italian lifestyle with Skims’ comfort and solutions,” creating sensual, confidence-boosting pieces focused on inclusivity and body positivity.
The partnership marks a shift from past tensions with the Kardashians. Dolce & Gabbana once labelled the family “the cheapest people in the world” on Instagram and previously stirred controversy by criticising children born via IVF.
However, the rift appeared mended by 2022 when Dolce & Gabbana hosted Kourtney’s wedding to Travis Barker, styling the entire Kardashian family in custom and archival looks for the event. The wedding, though, ignited its drama. Hulu’s ‘The Kardashians’ Season 3 showcased a feud between Kim and Kourtney over Kim’s Dolce & Gabbana show, which Kourtney saw as exploiting her wedding.
Since then, the sisters have patched things up, with Kourtney even donning Kim’s famed Givenchy gown for Halloween last year—a testament to their renewed bond. Now, with the Skims x Dolce & Gabbana collection, they’re bringing that unity to the fashion world.
