Kim Kardashian is poised to take the acting world by storm but refuses to change her appearance.
In Thursday’s episode of “The Kardashians,” the reality TV star admitted she was “not expecting this career turn” into acting.

In addition to producing, the Skims founder will star in the film, written by Paula Pell and Janine Brito. She acknowledged that this project will be a significant commitment. With so much on her plate, Kardashian, 43, joked that she would have to give up something in her life — and chose sleep as the first thing to go.

“I can do a movie a year; I’ve got about ten years where I still look good, so that’s all I’ve got, and then I’ll take some time off. … That’s my 10-year plan,” she told her friends.
However, Kardashian clearly won’t alter her looks for roles. “I feel like you need less Botox for more emotion, and I don’t have it,” she joked, noting that the injectable would prevent her from showing emotions like crying or acting scared on screen. To illustrate her point, Kardashian humorously tried to raise her eyebrows, which had little effect on her forehead.

Fans shouldn’t expect her to embrace method acting anytime soon. “I’m not gonna be gaining 500 pounds for a role or losing … that’s not where I need to be,” she stated.
While she has a few non-negotiables, Kardashian emphasized that she doesn’t want to get ahead of herself and is focused on perfecting the upcoming Netflix film. “I’m nervous about it ’cause I have to deliver,” she said. “It’s such a challenge for me, and I want to welcome a challenge. Every year, I want to do something that makes me so uncomfortable that I must push myself.”

Despite having only a few minor movie roles in the past, Kardashian made headlines in 2023 when she landed a role in “American Horror Story: Delicate.” Her role as an entertainment publicist named Siobhan received both praise and criticism. Still, the Skkn founder has been taking acting seriously, hiring an acting coach and delving deeper into the business.

In a recent and controversial “Actors on Actors” interview with Chloë Sevigny, Kardashian revealed she has four projects. “It’s been fascinating, learning the business in such a short period,” she said.

One of these projects is a Ryan Murphy-produced scripted series where she will play “a high-powered divorce attorney.” “I will channel Laura Wasser if that resonates with anybody,” Kardashian teased. (Wasser has represented Kardashian, Kevin Costner, Ariana Grande, Britney Spears, and other stars in their splits.)

Although she admits that “lawyer talk is a completely different language,” Kardashian has already spent significant hours studying for the California Bar Exam over the years. “I’m excited about it. And, again, that confidence that [Murphy] believes in me to take this project on means so much to me,” she said. “It feels so right as a character that I could be a lawyer in real life and play one on TV.”
