M10News – Shocking revelations have emerged about the eldest son of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. The son has been deliberately shielded from public view due to concerns about his physical appearance.
According to retired South Korean National Intelligence Service (NIS) official Choe Su-yong, Kim Jong-un’s son has remained hidden because he is perceived as “pale and thin,” characteristics considered unappealing by North Korean standards.
Contrary to his son’s invisibility, Kim Jong-un’s daughter, Kim Ju-ae, has been publicly showcased and is even touted by the NIS as her father’s likely successor, despite her young age.
The decision to conceal Kim Jong-un’s son is rooted in North Korea’s preference for leaders who embody a robust appearance, reminiscent of Kim Jong-un’s grandfather, Kim Il Sung, the country’s revered founder.
Kim Jong-un reportedly underwent a physical transformation to project authority, urged by his father and aunt to gain weight to exude a more authoritative presence.
Michael Madden, founder of North Korea Leadership Watch, explained that North Korean society’s preference for more prominent leaders is deeply ingrained in historical and cultural factors, with thinness as a reminder of the famine that ravaged the nation in the late 1990s.
Despite being kept out of the spotlight, Kim Jong-un’s eldest son still harbours ambitions of claiming the supreme leadership position.
Kim Jong-un is believed to have three legitimate children, and while Kim Ju-ae’s gender may pose a challenge, the ultimate decision regarding succession lies in the hands of Kim Jong-un himself.
As the world closely monitors developments within North Korea, the fate of Kim Jong-un’s eldest son and the country’s leadership succession remain subjects of intense speculation and intrigue.
