According to retired South Korean National Intelligence Service (NIS) official Choe Su-yong, Kim Jong-un’s son has remained hidden because he is perceived as “pale and thin,” characteristics considered unappealing by North Korean standards.
Contrary to his son’s invisibility, Kim Jong-un’s daughter, Kim Ju-ae, has been publicly showcased and is even touted by the NIS as her father’s likely successor, despite her young age.
