Khloé Kardashian Reveals Pressure of Creating Solo Fragrance

Khloé Kardashian is set to re-enter the fragrance world, revealing plans to launch a new perfume this year. In an interview with Hello! Fashion Monthly for the August/September 2024 issue, the Good American founder admitted that releasing a fragrance on her own felt “scary.”

Kardashian, 40, previously created her first fragrance, Unbreakable, along with several spin-offs with ex-husband Lamar Odom in 2011. Despite her experience in the beauty business, this new project represents a new challenge for her.

“I have done fragrances before, with my ex-husband and my sisters, but the pressure’s on me now,” she said, referring to her work on perfumes for sister Kim Kardashian’s former KKW Beauty brand.

The reality star revealed that she has been testing “different scents for months and months,” describing the process as “scary” due to the personal nature of the fragrance. Kardashian hinted that her new, yet-to-be-named scent is expected to launch in December.

“It’s just taking time because I’m a perfectionist,” she explained, adding that she believes she’s creating something “wonderful.”

Khloé joined her sisters in the fragrance industry with Kim’s KKW fragrance business and Kylie Jenner’s recent launch of her scent, Cosmic, earlier this year.

Reflecting on her experiences, Khloé told WWD in December that she’s now “in such a different place” than when she first created fragrances. “I’m older. I’m wiser,” she stated.

While specific details about the new perfume remain under wraps, Kardashian emphasized her desire for a “classic” scent and captivating.

Her previous KKW scent featured a “transparent floral bouquet with notes of cloud musks, pink sapphire tuberose, and blushing jasmine.” At the same time, the Unbreakable series offered unisex eau de toilettes with gourmand, fruity, and floral notes.
