Keziah Macharia Mum, 41, Charged with Murdering Four-Year-Old Son: Details of the Tragic Incident
A 41-year-old mother, Keziah Macharia, has been charged with the murder of her four-year-old son, Kobi Dooley-Macharia, who was found with knife injuries at their home in Hackney, East London.
The incident occurred on Wednesday night, and Kobi was rushed to the hospital but died of his injuries a short while later. Macharia was charged with murder and is set to appear in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
Due to worries for the child’s welfare, M10News reported that police were called to the Montague Road address. Kobi was discovered by the officers inside, suffering from cuts from a knife. The boy’s next of kin had been notified, the detectives confirmed, and they were not searching for anyone else about the incident. Thursday, December 28, is the day for the special post-mortem examination.
According to a neighbour, Kobi was often seen playing on his scooter and was happy and energetic. The incident has understandably caused shock and disbelief among the local community and those who attended the scene. The police are working with their partners, including Hackney Council and the school community, to ensure support is available for those who need it.
