Keith McNally Slams Lauren Sánchez and Kardashians as ‘Repulsive’ in Controversial Instagram Post

Restaurateur Keith McNally, owner of Balthazar, has sparked controversy with his latest Instagram post, labelling Lauren Sánchez and members of the Kardashian family as “repulsive.”

The post featured a photo of Jeff Bezos’ fiancée alongside Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, and Khloé Kardashian at a recent luncheon.

“Am I alone in finding this photo repulsive beyond?” the 73-year-old McNally wrote, prompting speculation about his reasons for the harsh criticism.

He mused about how literary figures Susan Sontag and Virginia Woolf might have reacted to the image, inviting suggestions from his followers. While some users criticised him for “bullying,” others chimed in with their interpretations of the writers’ potential views.

Sánchez, 54, previously shared the photo on her own Instagram, celebrating her new children’s book, “The Fly Who Flew to Space,” at a lunch hosted by Jenner. She emphasised the importance of supportive friendships in her post, stating, “Women who uplift each other.”

This isn’t the first time McNally has targeted Sánchez; in April, he referred to her as “revolting” in another Instagram post. After receiving backlash, including a response from model Chrissy Teigen, who defended Sánchez as “incredibly dynamic, accomplished, and kind,” McNally edited his original comments to soften his stance.
