Katy Perry has been spotted showing off her toned figure on a Miami beach, days after reports that her brief romance with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has cooled.
The 40-year-old pop star was photographed in a black bikini as she enjoyed the sunshine with friends on Thursday, appearing relaxed during a break from her “Lifetimes” world tour.

Pictures obtained by Page Six showed Perry sipping from a coconut and laughing with companions, while another image captured her being lifted playfully in the ocean by a male friend.
The beach day comes just after reports emerged of a “fallout” in her rumoured relationship with Trudeau following an intimate dinner in Montreal earlier this summer.

According to the Daily Mail, communication between the singer and the 53-year-old politician has “waned in the past two weeks” despite an initial flurry of contact.

“She’s busy, he’s busy,” one insider told the outlet. “They had a lot going o, and the newness has worn off.”
The source insisted the cooling-off period was not negative, adding: “They just aren’t in constant communication anymore. That could change, but for now it is what it is.”
While Perry is no stranger to media attention, sources suggested Trudeau was less comfortable with the spotlight after their dinner date became public.
“Justin wasn’t thrilled about the pictures getting out,” an insider claimed. “It was a first date, and suddenly it became this huge story.”

Another source noted: “If you’re going to be with Katy, you have to deal with the paparazzi. It can be a lot, and I don’t know how prepared he was for that.”
Trudeau had earlier been spotted attending Perry’s “Lifetimes” concert in Canada, which fuelled speculation of a budding romance before reports of a cooling-off surfaced.
The unexpected pairing surprised many, though friends of the duo said they shared an “instant connection” when they first met.
“They are interested in each other,” a source previously told People. “But she is travelling constantly, and he is adjusting to life after leaving office.”

Another insider added, “There is definitely an attraction. They have more in common than people might think.”
Despite the rumours, sources said Perry is prioritising herself in the wake of her split from actor Orlando Bloom.
“She isn’t ready to dive into anything serious,” one insider explained. “Right now, she’s focused on healing after her separation from Orlando.”

Perry and Bloom, 48, announced their break-up last month after months of speculation. They share a four-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove.
Trudeau, meanwhile, separated from his wife Sophie Grégoire in 2023 after 18 years of marriage. The former couple have three children together: Xavier, 17, Ella-Grace, 16, and Hadrien, 11.

For now, both Perry and Trudeau appear to be taking space, with friends suggesting the romance has not ended entirely but “cooled” as their busy lives pull them in different directions.
