A judge has ruled that Katie Price will have her income from TikTok suspended as part of efforts to address debts under her two bankruptcies.
The former glamour model, declared bankrupt in November 2019 and again in March 2024, faces further scrutiny of her finances later this month in London.
In February, a judge had previously ordered the 46-year-old Price to allocate 40% of her monthly income from the adult entertainment site OnlyFans to repay her debts until February 2027. Although barristers for the trustee of her bankruptcies sought to extend this order to include TikTok, lawyers for the platform expressed that while they did not oppose the extension, they could not consent due to the payment mechanisms for content creators.
Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Catherine Burton has now deemed it “appropriate” to suspend further payments from TikTok to Price until a resolution can be determined. Price was not present at the remote hearing and did not have representation.
Judge Burton’s earlier order mandated that Price pay 40% of her OnlyFans income into a bank account designated by the trustee to settle her debts. Barrister Darragh Connell, representing the trustee, indicated that although Price had initially agreed to a voluntary repayment plan, she had failed to meet the payment terms. The order was broadened in July to cover eight additional companies from which Price received income.
Connell expressed concerns that “substantial sums” could flow to Price from TikTok, potentially evading recovery by the trustee without the suspension. He argued that the 40% payment rate remained “reasonable” and stressed the need for a hold on Price’s TikTok earnings.
TikTok’s representative, Lauren Kreamer, revealed that the platform had previously paid Price £84,000 for a three-month agreement to create e-commerce content and other smaller payments totalling £9,989.92. Kreamer assured the court that TikTok was working to comply with the order and was not being obstructive.
Price is scheduled to appear in court on August 27 to address her financial situation after being instructed by a judge to attend without exception. This follows her recent arrest at Heathrow Airport due to a warrant issued for failing to attend a previous court date.
