A bankruptcy hearing involving Katie Price, which also saw her ex-husband Alex Reid present, has been postponed.
The 46-year-old former glamour model was scheduled to be questioned by barristers during a public examination at a specialist bankruptcy court on Tuesday.
However, the hearing was adjourned after her legal team requested that she attend a ‘private interview’ with representatives of the bankruptcy trustee.
Bertie Beor-Roberts, who represents Price, explained to the court that the delay was intended to allow Price to engage more effectively with the trustee through this private interview.
10.30 am.
Chief Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Nicholas Briggs approved the request and asked Price to confirm her commitment to attending the private interview on September 24. Price responded with, “I do.”
Upon leaving the court, Price expressed her frustration with the media, referring to reporters as “scumbags.”
This development follows Price’s previous failure to attend a court hearing in July, during which time she was reportedly in Turkey undergoing cosmetic surgery valued at £10,000. When she returned to the UK, she was arrested at Heathrow Airport after a judge issued a warrant for failing to appear at the July hearing.
She was subsequently released on bail, with a warning to remain in the country, and appeared in court today for further questioning regarding her finances.
Price arrived at the Rolls Building in London dressed entirely in black, wearing large sunglasses and carrying a black bag. The hearing, presided over by Judge Briggs, began at 10:30 a.m. Not long after the session started, Price’s ex-husband, Alex Reid, also arrived in court, dressed casually in a cream t-shirt and white shorts. The pair were married in 2010 but separated a year later, finalizing their divorce in 2012.
Reid had previously won a court case against Price in 2019 after she allegedly showed explicit images of him to a television audience, which led to Reid being awarded £250,000 in compensation and legal costs.
However, in January this year, Reid claimed he had only received £1,000 from Price, prompting bailiffs to visit her home to collect assets equalling the remaining amount owed.
Price was declared bankrupt in 2019, and earlier this year, in February 2024, she was ordered to pay 40% of her monthly income from her OnlyFans account to the bankruptcy trustee until February 2027.
During a court appearance in early August, Price was warned by a judge that she must attend the public examination set for August 27, which was later rescheduled to today. Although she confirmed she would attend, Price requested to participate remotely, citing discomfort with attending court in person.

The judge denied this request but noted that she could apply to attend remotely, stating that it “does not take Einstein to do it.” Price also mentioned her difficulties obtaining legal representation, revealing that she had been asked for £50,000 upfront.
The hearing took place at the Rolls Building, and Price, after arriving on foot, participated via video link from an office in the Royal Courts of Justice.
