Katie Price’s notorious “Mucky Mansion” has been sold just weeks after bailiffs evicted the former glamour model due to missed mortgage payments.

The property, listed for £1.5 million, was in disrepair, with overgrown grounds and a discoloured swimming pool. Cleaners had to remove substantial amounts of rubbish and abandoned vehicles before the home could be listed for sale.

Price, who purchased the house near Horsham, West Sussex, for £1.35 million from former Tory peer Francis Maude, struggled to maintain the property amid ongoing bankruptcy issues. The house, featured in a Channel Four series as she attempted to renovate it, was ultimately repossessed after Price failed to keep up with mortgage payments.

Last week, Price was arrested at Heathrow Airport upon returning from Turkey, where she underwent her sixth facelift. Her arrest followed her failure to attend a court hearing about an unpaid £750,000 tax bill.

At a subsequent court appearance, Price agreed to examine her finances publicly and was ordered to submit all relevant financial documents. The judge cautioned her not to go on holiday and warned she could face arrest if she missed the August 27 hearing.

The mansion, built in the 1930s, was vacated in May following PPrice’seviction. She relocated to a £5,000-a-month rental home in the same West Sussex area with her five children. Price has described her former home as cursed and expressed relief at leaving it behind, stating it marks a new chapter in her life.

The estate agent’s listing for the property highlights its potential, noting features such as three reception rooms, nine bedrooms, and four bathrooms and the possibility of refurbishing the tennis court and swimming pool. The advertisement did not reference the property’s former owner.

Price was first declared bankrupt in 2019 and again in March over an unpaid tax.
