Reports emerge that Katie Price has been served an eviction notice, compelling her to vacate her £2 million property known as the “Mucky Mansion” within weeks.
Located in Horsham, West Sussex, the mansion was purchased by Katie in October 2014 for £1.35 million. It was featured prominently on her Channel 4 TV show, “Katie Price’s Mucky Mansion,” showcasing her home renovations.
However, financial struggles and relationship issues with her ex, Carl Woods, led to the deterioration of the property’s condition.
The alleged eviction notice follows Katie’s failure to appear in court for a second bankruptcy, reported by The Mirror. The letter, dated April 24, 2024, specifies the eviction date as May 29, 2024, at 10 a.m., instructing her to vacate the property with her belongings by that time.
Horsham County Court’s eviction notice, addressed to Katie and any other occupants, outlines the authority granted to county court bailiffs or High Court Enforcement Officers to execute the eviction.
Katie was declared bankrupt for the second time in February, owing a significant sum to HMRC, including tax, VAT, and other fees totalling over £750,000.
Despite being scheduled to provide evidence about her finances at the High Court, Katie’s absence due to reported “health issues” was met with scepticism from the judge.
Facing criticism for missing the court appearance, Katie defended herself, emphasizing the seriousness of handling her bankruptcy and explaining the necessity for a break.
In a recent podcast episode, Katie addressed the misconception surrounding her holiday with her boyfriend, JJ Slater, asserting that her mental health issues prevented her from attending court.
Acknowledging the gravity of her situation, Katie confirmed her absence from the next court appearance, citing advice from her trustees and consultants regarding her legal obligations.
However, recent reports suggest that further court absences could have severe consequences for Katie, including potential arrest and asset seizure.
