Katie Price has cancelled her headline appearance at Barnsley Pride just days before the highly anticipated 2025 event, prompting disappointment among fans and organisers alike.
The 46-year-old reality star and performer had been booked to headline the Funny Gals Main Stage and the Official Pride Afterparty on Saturday. However, organisers confirmed the cancellation in a statement shared ahead of the weekend.

“Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, Katie Price will no longer be headlining our Funny Gals Main Stage / After Dark Official Pride Afterparty,” the statement read. “We want to make it clear that this is beyond our control and that we are genuinely disappointed, as we were very excited to have her as part of our line-up of amazing acts.”

The late withdrawal is the second major setback for Barnsley Pride organisers, following the earlier cancellation of Kerry Katona—Price’s close friend and fellow television personality, who pulled out due to personal reasons.
“Additionally, the original headliner, Kerry Katona, also had to cancel,” organisers said. “The entire team here at Funny Gals shares in this disappointment, and we deeply regret any inconvenience or disappointment caused.”
Despite the changes, organisers emphasised that the event will proceed with a strong line-up of performers, including RuPaul’s Drag Race UK winner Vicki Vivacious, X Factor finalist Sammy Brooks, and drag artists Tess Tickle and Gladys Duffy.

Fans expressed their frustration online, with one social media user commenting, “Oh no, Saturday night ruined!”
Katie Price has been active on the performance circuit in recent weeks. Last month, she appeared as one of the main acts at a Pride celebration on the South Coast, performing alongside Nadine Coyle, Sabrina Washington of Mis-Teeq, and Drag Race UK stars River Medway and Victoria Scone.
At that event, Price embraced a bold pop persona, taking to the stage in a black thong bodysuit that accentuated her recently enhanced figure. She completed the outfit with a frilled pink jacket and an oversized jewel-studded hat bearing the word “Pricey” in pink rhinestones, along with a silver belt worn low on her hips.
Her set included a mix of covers and throwbacks, including a slowed-down piano rendition of Jermaine Stewart’s “We Don’t Have to Take Our Clothes Off,” Taylor Dayne’s “Tell It to My Heart,” and “A Whole New World” – a track she originally released as a duet with ex-husband Peter André.
In May, Price also made headlines after livestreaming a cosmetic procedure on TikTok in which she underwent a £1,500 bum filler treatment. During the live broadcast, she revealed that two surgeons injected 500ml of filler into her buttocks while she remained awake.

“I’ve just had Endo laser and filler, I’m having it put in my bum,” she said during the stream. “It will dissolve over time, but it can last up to two years.”
Price also acknowledged the risks associated with the procedure. “Something can always go wrong. Anaesthetic is always a risk, but I haven’t been put to sleep for this — I’m awake, talking to you guys.”

Despite her absence from Barnsley Pride, organisers say the festival remains packed with talent and inclusive entertainment. The event is still expected to draw a large crowd for what remains one of the North’s most vibrant annual Pride celebrations.
