The former glamour model, Katie Price has again been in legal trouble for driving offences. Despite being banned from driving six times, with a notable two-year prohibition, Price has been convicted of driving without insurance and a valid licence.
This recent incident compounds her string of driving violations, including a recent fine for speeding and driving with an expired licence.
Price was found guilty of absentia at Northampton Magistrates’ Court and fined £880, with £620 in costs and a £352 victim surcharge for driving without a licence and insurance. The court has given her 28 days to pay the total fine of £1,852. CCTV footage released by the police captured Price using her vehicle at a petrol station, where a police officer identified her.
Last year, Price was accused of driving a Range Rover without insurance and a valid driver’s licence in violation of her previous driving disqualification. Despite her denial of the charges, she was found guilty in court. This incident occurred after her two-year ban for crashing her BMW in 2021 and receiving a suspended jail sentence for drunk driving while disqualified and uninsured.
During her various court appearances, it was revealed that Price had accumulated five previous driving bans.
These legal issues have cast a shadow over her extensive showbiz career spanning over two decades, during which she has garnered attention for both her professional achievements and legal entanglements.
Katie Price recently shared her feelings of being undervalued in the entertainment industry on an episode of her podcast, The Katie Price Show.
Despite her previous accomplishments in modelling and magazine covers, she expressed her disappointment in the disappearance of traditional cover shoots in today’s media landscape.
Throughout her career, which began in the late 1990s with glamour modelling, Price has ventured into various entertainment realms.
This includes appearances on reality TV shows such as I’m A Celebrity and Celebrity Big Brother and as a potential Eurovision contestant. Additionally, she has released numerous autobiographies, novels, and children’s books.
Despite her legal challenges, Price remains a prominent figure in the entertainment industry, continuing to captivate audiences with her multifaceted career and personal life.
However, her recurrent brushes with the law serve as a reminder of the complexities and controversies that often accompany fame.
