Katie Price, 45, has found love again with Married At First Sight UK contestant John Joe Slater, 31, after splitting from her ex-fiancé Carl Woods last year.
The former glamour model and the reality TV star made their relationship official as they were spotted holding hands and kissing on Wednesday night out in Essex.
The couple looked happy and relaxed as they enjoyed a meal at IRMAS Restaurant on the beachfront, with Katie showing off her tattooed midriff in a crop top and combat trousers while JJ sported a black leather jacket and jeans.
The couple was spotted looking cosy at Bobby’s Bar in Newcastle last week. JJ was supporting Katie during one of her pantomime shows.
Katie and JJ met through mutual friends and hit it off after exchanging flirty messages. A source told The Sun: ‘They’ve met a few times and are texting each other constantly. She’s really into him – this is the first man she’s been interested in since Carl.’²
JJ rose to fame on the 2023 series of MAFS UK, where he married Bianca Petronzi but soon realised she was not his type. He then developed feelings for another bride, Ella Morgan, who was the first transgender contestant on the show².
However, their romance fizzled out, and they decided to stay friends in their final vows. Ella, 29, was reportedly ‘furious’ and ‘betrayed’ by Katie for dating her ex, as she had become good friends with the mother-of-five¹.
Katie had previously spoken of marrying and starting a family with Carl, 32, but announced their break-up on New Year’s Eve on social media. She accused him of cheating on her and selling stories to the press, which he denied².
Katie has five children from her previous relationships: Harvey, 19, with footballer Dwight Yorke; Junior, 16, and Princess, 14, with singer Peter Andre; and Jett, 7, and Bunny, 6, with builder Kieran Hayler².
JJ is a father of two daughters from a previous marriage, aged 10 and 8. He works as a business development manager and a personal trainer².
The new couple seem to have much in common, as they love fitness, tattoos, and having fun. They have also faced some challenges in their personal lives, such as Katie’s bankruptcy and JJ’s divorce².
Relationship expert and MAFS UK matchmaker Paul C Brunson said he thinks Katie and JJ are a ‘good match’, as they have bubbly personalities and are open and honest about their feelings.
He told The Mirror: ‘I think they both have a lot of resilience, and they both have a lot of love to give. I think they’re a good match.’²
