Kanye West Sued Over Antisemitism and Alleged Lewd Conduct in New Workplace Lawsuit
Kanye West, the rapper and entrepreneur now legally known as Ye, is facing a lawsuit from former project manager Murphy Aficionado, alleging antisemitism, lewd behaviour, and a hostile work environment during his tenure.
The claims, filed in court this week, detail a series of incidents that allegedly occurred shortly after Aficionado began working for West in late 2022.
Allegations of Lewd and Inappropriate Behavior
The lawsuit outlines an encounter at a Beverly Hills hotel in November 2022, where Aficionado alleges he was summoned to West’s room. Upon arriving, he claims he found the rapper shirtless, with his pants undone, and then-girlfriend Bianca Censori topless, using her hands to cover her chest. The former employee alleges it was clear the couple had just engaged in sexual activity.
Aficionado further alleges that West directed him to wait outside the room, where he overheard “loud moaning and clapping.” When West re-emerged, he was reportedly wearing a T-shirt featuring a swastika and showed Aficionado explicit photos of his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.
The lawsuit also claims that West frequently made antisemitic remarks, referring to a lawyer as a “Jewish spy” and accusing Jewish individuals of controlling his finances and influencing Kardashian.
Further Incidents Involving an NFL Player
In another alleged incident later that week, Aficionado claims he was called to another hotel room where West and an NFL player were preparing for massages while dressed in towels. The two men reportedly engaged in sexual activity with a masseuse while Aficionado was instructed to wait outside, again overhearing explicit noises.
Broader Allegations of Misconduct
The lawsuit accuses West of creating a hostile work environment, citing daily antisemitic tirades and retaliatory behavior. Aficionado claims he was terminated in 2023 without pay.
These allegations come amid other legal challenges for West. In a separate lawsuit, former security guard Benjamin Deshon Provo has accused West of racial discrimination during his time working at Donda Academy and a Yeezy warehouse. Provo alleges that Black employees were treated less favorably than White staff, and claims he was fired for refusing to cut his dreadlocks.
Legal Fallout
West reportedly failed to appear at a deposition related to Provo’s case last week. He has denied wrongdoing in previous lawsuits, arguing that his actions were justified, and has sought to have some cases dismissed.
West has not yet publicly commented on Aficionado’s lawsuit, but the claims mark another chapter in the series of controversies surrounding the 47-year-old rapper, whose behavior has drawn widespread criticism in recent years.
