Kamala Harris to Spend Election Night at Howard University, Her Alma Mater
Vice President Kamala Harris plans to return to Howard University in Washington, D.C., on the evening of the 2024 presidential elections.
Harris, who earned her bachelor’s degree in political science and economics from the historically Black university, will visit the campus as part of the final push in the closing hours of the election.
On Monday night, Harris and former President Donald Trump spent the final hours before Election Day rallying in crucial swing states, making one last effort to connect with American voters. Harris concluded her campaign stops in Scranton and Reading, Pennsylvania, while Trump made his final bid in North Carolina and Pennsylvania, before heading to Grand Rapids, Michigan.
As the election results begin to roll in tonight, President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will watch from the White House Residence, accompanied by long-time aides and senior staff members. A White House official confirmed that the president will receive regular updates on the state of races across the nation as the results unfold.
