The letter, first reported by CNBC, showcases widespread support across various sectors.
James Murdoch, founder and CEO of Lupa Systems and former CEO of 21st Century Fox, is among the 88 signatories.
His political views, which significantly differ from his conservative media mogul father, Rupert Murdoch, underscore the diverse support for Harris. Other notable signatories from Hollywood include Peter Chernin, co-founder of the Chernin Group; Jeff Bewkes, former CEO of Time Warner; Barry Diller, chairman of IAC; and Michael Lynton, chairman of Snap.
Mark Cuban, the billionaire and “Shark Tank” co-host, and Jeffrey Katzenberg, the former studio executive and founder of WndrCo, are among Harris’s high-profile supporters. Katzenberg, a major fundraiser for President Biden, brings significant clout to Harris’ campaign.
The letter does not directly mention Donald Trump but highlights Harris’ commitment to bolstering American industries. It states that the business community can expect strong support for investment and competitive practices with Harris as president.
The letter praises Harris’ record on advancing business investment and fair policies, emphasising her dedication to maintaining a stable business environment and providing opportunities for all Americans.
