Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign announced on Sunday that it raised $82 million during the Democratic National Convention last week, marking a significant boost in her fundraising efforts.
This surge in donations comes as Harris solidifies her position as the Democratic nominee following President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the presidential race five weeks ago.

According to her campaign chair, Jen O’Malley Dillon, Harris’s acceptance speech on Thursday night led to the campaign’s “best fundraising hour since launch day,” though specific figures for that hour were not disclosed.
Over the past month, the campaign has accumulated a total of $540 million, with the $82 million raised during the convention including contributions to joint fundraising efforts with state and national Democratic committees.
This influx of support highlights the growing momentum behind Harris as she prepares for the general election campaign.
