Judge’s Stern Warning to Cork Man: ‘I Don’t Want to See You Again’
In a recent case at Cork District Court, Jerry Keogh, a 43-year-old man, was ordered to complete 160 hours of community service instead of serving jail time.
Judge Mary Dorgan expressed her hope that this would help him avoid trouble.
The court’s decision followed a series of incidents involving Keogh, who resides at 33 Mourne Avenue, The Glen, Cork, and came to the attention of garda officers on Magazine Road.
Sergeant Dave Delea reported that Keogh exhibited extreme unsteadiness and disruptive behaviour in public, including shouting in the middle of the road and acting aggressively towards others, such as clenching his fists and squaring up to individuals.
One notable incident involved Keogh carrying a knife in his pocket on June 1, 2023, although he claimed it was unintentional and stemmed from an argument with his girlfriend.
