The 81-year-old president’s gaze remained fixed on the stage as gospel singer Kirk Franklin performed his song “Love Theory”. At the same time, other dignitaries, including Vice President Kamala Harris and second gentleman Doug Emhoff, danced along.

The Trump campaign’s war room account posted a quip, stating, “Lights are on but no one’s home,” in response to Biden’s behaviour at the Juneteenth celebration.

Trump campaign adviser Steven Cheung jokingly suggested that the president appeared to be under the influence of marijuana at the event, humorously tweeting, “BIDEN: These edibles ain’t s—-. 15 minutes later,” along with a video clip of Biden standing rigid among the revellers.

Senator Mike Lee (R-Utah) joined in the mockery on social media, sarcastically questioning Biden’s rhythm.

In another post, Senator Lee expressed frustration, suggesting that Biden’s behaviour during the event was inappropriate given the circumstances. He stated, “While America was being invaded, Biden did … whatever he’s doing in this video.”

During the event, Biden was accompanied by Vice President Harris and Philonise Floyd, the brother of the late George Floyd. At one point, Philonise Floyd wrapped his arm around Biden, momentarily rousing him. The two men exchanged a fist bump shortly after the interaction.

Near the program’s end, Biden reflected on the event, remarking that the Whiteprogram’swn had never witnessed anything quite like it.

He expressed pride in signing legislation designating Juneteenth as a federal holiday in 2021. Despite inquiries from The Post, the Biden campaign chose not to respond to the request for comment.
