Jennifer Lopez was all smiles as she stepped out in Spain this weekend, just days after unveiling what appears to be a deeply personal new track titled “Wreckage of You.”
She accessorised the breezy look with a sleek navy cap embroidered with her first initial, “J,” along with gold layered necklaces, including a body chain and nameplate pendant.
Carrying a structured black crocodile handbag and wearing aviator sunglasses, the singer looked both casual and commanding under the Spanish sun.
The look came just days after Lopez kicked off her Up All Night tour in Pontevedra, Spain, before moving on to entertain packed venues in Malaga and Cadiz.
While fans have been focused on her performances, Lopez also grabbed headlines last week after she premiered Wreckage of You during an intimate listening party in Los Angeles.
At the event, guest Edgardo Luis Rivera told Us Weekly that Lopez shared the song’s backstory, explaining it came to her after a long day of rehearsals while she lay in bed reflecting.
“She told us last year had been one of the hardest for her, both personally and professionally,” Rivera said. “She had to cancel her tour and take time to focus on healing.”
Rivera added that the word “wreck” stayed with Lopez, not because she felt destroyed, but because it symbolised what she overcame.
The timing of the release is significant. In January, Lopez and Affleck finalised their divorce after just two years of marriage, following months of speculation about strain in their relationship.
Affleck, 51, was recently seen front-row at a Boston Red Sox game with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner and two of their three children, Seraphina and Samuel.
While the former couple maintain a warm co-parenting relationship, sources have suggested that their closeness may have created tension during Affleck’s second marriage.
According to Page Six, Lopez was “not happy” with how often Affleck appeared in public with Garner, noting she found the photos difficult to ignore.
Affleck and Garner share three children: Violet, 19, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 13. They separated in 2015 and finalised their divorce in 2018 after ten years of marriage.
Lopez and Affleck, famously nicknamed “Bennifer,” rekindled their romance in 2021 and tied the knot in 2022 after a whirlwind re-engagement.
The pair were recently photographed sharing a kiss outside his Los Angeles home in June.
Despite the high-profile breakup, Lopez appears focused on music, performance, and self-reinvention, with her latest single already resonating with fans who see her story of recovery as a universal one.
