Jennifer Aniston Drenched in Fake Oil While Filming ‘The Morning Show’
Jennifer Aniston was spotted filming scenes for the hit Apple TV+ series “The Morning Show” in New York City on Sunday, enduring an unexpected splash of fake oil during the shoot.
The Emmy-winning actress, 55, was seen as her character Alex braved a chaotic protest scene where an unknown assailant doused her with the greasy black substance.
In the photos, Aniston’s costume—a sleeveless white blouse and khaki flared pants—was wholly ruined as she manoeuvred through the agitated crowd. Although the specific cause of the protest remains unclear, some signs prominently displayed the message “Extinction Revolt.”
“The Morning Show,” which recently secured multiple Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for both Aniston and co-star Reese Witherspoon, continues to draw significant attention. The series, inspired by Brian Stelter’s book “Top of the Morning,” delves into the behind-the-scenes drama of a fictional news program and features storylines based on real-life events such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russian-Ukraine war.
Katie Couric, depicted in the series, shared her thoughts in April 2020 on the podcast “Everything Iconic with Danny Pellegrino,” stating, “I thought some aspects were exciting. The impact and devastation resulting from certain behaviours were well conveyed. Jennifer Aniston is great, though I wish her character had more charisma to match the show’s demands better.”
The fourth season of “The Morning Show” is currently in production, but a premiere date has yet to be announced.
