Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance aimed at Democratic vice-presidential hopeful Kamala Harris during a campaign rally on Saturday, sharply criticizing her recent remarks about his loyalty.
In a 45-second YouTube video released on July 16, Harris accused Vance of being “loyal only to Trump, not to our country” and claimed he would serve as a “rubber stamp for [Trump’s] extreme agenda.”
At the rally, which was held in conjunction with former President Donald Trump, Vance defended himself by highlighting his service record and addressing what he described as Harris’ shortcomings.
“Kamala Harris questioned my loyalty to this country,” Vance said, referencing Harris’ comments. “She used the word’ loyalty,’ and it’s interesting. Semper Fi: loyalty. Because there is no more significant sign of disloyalty to this country than what Kamala Harris has done at our southern border.”

Vance, who served in the Marine Corps and owns a small business, took the opportunity to contrast his record with Harris’ performance as border czar under President Joe Biden’s administration.
He continued, “I’d like to ask the vice president what she has done to question my loyalty to this country. I served in the United States Marine Corps. I went to Iraq for this country. I built a business for this country.”
Vance also highlighted the sacrifices made by his running mate, noting, “My running mate took a bullet for this country.”
He concluded his speech by challenging Harris’ critique, stating, “The answer, my friends, is nothing. So, let’s send a message to the media. Let’s send a message to Kamala Harris. Let’s send a message to every hardworking patriot from Minnesota nationwide. We are ready to have President Donald J. Trump back and will work our tails off to ensure it happens.”
The crowd responded with loud applause, signalling strong support for Vance’s stance and the Trump campaign.
