Dennis Quaid expressed in a recent television interview that his decision to vote for former president Trump was influenced by what he perceived as the “weaponization of the justice system” and Trump’s policy record, rather than just politics.
While acknowledging that some may view Trump negatively, Quaid stated, “People might call him an a–hole, but he’s my a–hole.”

Quaid, known for his roles in films like “Traffic” (2000) and “Dragonheart” (1996), will portray President Ronald Reagan in the upcoming biopic “Reagan,” set to premiere in August 2024.
During the interview on “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” Quaid expressed his intention to vote for Trump in the next election, highlighting Trump’s actions as president, such as his approach to foreign policy and national security.

Quaid also praised Trump’s handling of international relations, particularly with countries like North Korea and China, emphasizing Trump’s leadership qualities.
Regarding his opinion on President Biden, Quaid expressed doubts about Biden’s leadership, stating, “I don’t feel he’s at the helm, I don’t feel he’s there.”
