Prince Harry is reportedly planning to fly to the UK in the next few days to see his father, King Charles, who has been diagnosed with a form of cancer. The King, 75, announced today that he is undergoing a schedule of regular treatments and will step back from public duties for a while.
The Duke of Sussex, who lives in California with his wife Meghan and their two children, Archie and Lilibet, spoke to his father on the phone after hearing the news, a source close to Harry said. He is expected to travel to the UK soon to offer his support and spend some time with the King.

The relationship between Harry and his father has been strained in recent years after Harry and Meghahis n decided to step back as senior royals and move to the US in 2020. The couple also made several allegations against the royal family in a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey last year, which caused a rift within the monarchy.
However, Harry attended his father’s coronation in March despite speculation that he might not be invited. The King also reportedly extended an olive branch to his son and daughter-in-law by asking them to his upcoming Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June.
The King’s cancer diagnosis comes after he underwent surgery for an enlarged prostate last month, which was not related to his current condition. The palace has not revealed what type of cancer the King has but said it was discovered during his recent hospital stay.
The King has received an outpouring of well wishes worldwide, including Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who wished him a “speedy recovery”. The Queen, who has been married to the King for 56 years, is said to be by his side at Sandringham, where they have been staying since Christmas.
