Gisele Bündchen recently shared her insights into motherhood after separating from her ex-husband, Tom Brady, the NFL legend.
The supermodel and Brady ended their 13-year marriage in 2022 but have maintained a close relationship for the sake of their two children, 14-year-old Benjamin and 11-year-old Vivian.
In a candid interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the 43-year-old opened up about her approach to parenting and the challenges of co-parenting with Brady, especially when instilling a sense of organization in their kids’ lives. Gisele emphasizes the importance of teaching her children how they manage their surroundings and reflects on their overall life, stating, “The way you make your room, the way you organize and make your bed is the way you’re going to do your life. If you’re not learning here and now, then when and with whom?”
Despite facing pushback, mainly due to the different environments in their two homes, Gisele believes in passing on valuable lessons to her kids based on what her mother taught her.
Addressing the intense speculation surrounding their divorce, Gisele expressed that she is not concerned about others’ opinions as they shouldn’t interfere with her living her truth. She firmly states, “I can’t worry about what other people say about me because what they say about me is none of my business. It’s their business that they’re trying to project onto me.”
Gisele and Tom, initially linked in 2006, weathered the public eye throughout their relationship, facing scrutiny even after their split. Gisele, however, remains focused on her journey and is not swayed by external judgments.
Reflecting on their past, Gisele acknowledges that people grow and change over time. She shared insights into the evolution of their relationship, emphasizing the importance of allowing each other the freedom to pursue individual paths. Gisele concludes, “When you love someone, you don’t put them in jail and say, ‘You have to live this life.’ You set them free to be who they are, and if you want to fly in the same direction, that’s amazing.”
Their love story began in 2006, led to a marriage three years later, and resulted in the birth of their children Benjamin in 2009 and Vivian in 2012. Despite the challenges, Gisele and Tom continue to navigate their separate journeys with mutual respect and understanding.
