Former Coronation Street actress Georgia May Foote is reportedly heading for divorce just two years after marrying musician Kris Evans, according to The Irish Sun.
The 34-year-old actress, who wed Evans in an intimate ceremony in Cumbria in 2023, is said to have removed her wedding ring and wiped photos of her husband from social media, fuelling speculation about the couple’s split.
Sources cited by The Irish Sun claim that the relationship has broken down and the couple are now “on the rocks.” Neither Foote nor Evans has publicly confirmed the status of their marriage, but insiders close to the actress say she has been leaning on friends and family as she navigates the separation.
The couple announced their engagement in 2021 after three years together. At the time, Foote described Evans as her “best friend,” and shared joyful posts of their engagement and wedding, which was kept low-key and attended by close friends and family.
Foote rose to fame as Katy Armstrong on Coronation Street between 2010 and 2015 and later appeared on Strictly Come Dancing, where she finished as a runner-up in 2015. In recent years, she has worked on projects including Sky’s Trollied and the US fantasy series The Outpost.
As of Sunday evening, there has been no official comment from either party regarding the reported split.
