A Gay couple from Georgia has been sentenced to life imprisonment following their conviction for egregious sexual abuse of their adopted sons.
William and Zachary Zulock were each sentenced to 100 years in prison without the possibility of parole, as reported by RadarOnline.com.
William, 34, and Zachary, 36, portrayed themselves as ideal families; however, prosecutors described their home as a “house of horrors.” Walton County District Attorney Randy McGinley stated, “These two defendants truly created a house of horrors, prioritising their profoundly dark desires over everything and everyone else.”
He added, “The extent of the defendants’ depravity, which is as severe as it can be, is overshadowed only by the determination of those who sought justice and the resilience of the victims in this case. The courage these two young victims demonstrated over the past two years is genuinely inspiring.”
The Zulocks adopted two boys, now aged 10 and 12, from a Christian special needs adoption agency. Despite their facade of a happy family in an affluent Atlanta suburb, where Zachary and William held respectable positions in banking and government, they subjected their adopted sons to horrific abuse, often recording the acts to create pedophilic pornography.
During the trial, evidence revealed that the Zulocks boasted about their abuse to acquaintances. In one Snapchat message, Zachary, a 36-year-old government employee, informed a friend, “I’m going to f— my son tonight. Stand by,” and also shared images of the abuse.
Additionally, the Zulocks were accused of utilising social media to traffic their sons to at least two other individuals involved in a local paedophile ring. Their arrest in 2022 followed the apprehension of Hunter Lawless, an alleged member of this ring, who was found downloading child pornography, as reported by local news outlets. During police questioning, Lawless allegedly admitted to collecting the material and identified another suspect residing in Oxford.
Lawless additionally informed law enforcement that the individual he referenced was producing the alarming material involving a child residing in his household, prompting the police to secure a search warrant for the Zulock residence.
Law enforcement apprehended the Zulocks at their home located in unincorporated Loganville. Lawless entered a guilty plea to charges of sexual exploitation of children and consented to assist in the prosecution of the Zulocks.
Authorities collaborated with the Georgia Division of Family and Child Services to ensure the safety of the two brothers who were under the Zulocks’ care.
Both individuals entered guilty pleas to charges including aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy, and sexual exploitation of children.,
