Gardaí Arrest Man in His 20s Following Fatal Assault on Man in His 40s in Lucan, Co Dublin
Gardaí are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a deceased man in his late forties at a residence in Lucan, Co Dublin, this morning. A man in his twenties has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Emergency services responded to reports of an incident at a home on Old Bridge Park shortly after 8 a.m. today, where they found the deceased man inside the property.
The arrested individual is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda station in West Dublin.
Authorities confirmed that the coroner has been notified, and assistance from the Garda Technical Bureau and State Pathologist has been requested. A Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) has been appointed to oversee the investigation, and an incident room has been established at Lucan Garda Station. Additionally, a Family Liaison Officer (FLO) will be designated to support the deceased’s family during this time.
The scene has been secured for forensic and technical examination, and a post-mortem examination is scheduled. Gardaí stated that investigations are ongoing.
