Footballer Shot in the Arm During Co Tipperary Match
An adult male football player was shot in the arm during a soccer match played in a floodlit sports complex in Rear Cross, County Tipperary.
The incident occurred shortly after 9 pm on Saturday. Emergency services personnel treated the player at the scene before taking him to University Hospital Limerick for further assessment.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. The scene was cordoned off Saturday night for a forensic and technical examination. Gardaí appealed for witnesses, particularly individuals who may have been hunting in the area at the time, to come forward. The investigation is ongoing.
