FBI Investigates Alleged Hack Involving Trump Campaign Documents
The FBI has initiated an investigation into the suspected hacking of documents from former President Donald Trump’s campaign, the bureau confirmed on Monday.
In a statement, the FBI said, “We can confirm the FBI is investigating this matter.”
The probe comes after the Trump campaign accused Iran of being behind the alleged cyber attack. This accusation followed a report by Politico, which revealed that the news outlet received anonymous emails containing internal documents related to the vetting of Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio). Vance was recently selected as Trump’s running mate for the upcoming election.
