Eric Trump has warned that if presidential immunity is abolished by the Supreme Court, President Biden may face legal consequences over last summer’s White House cocaine incident.

During an appearance on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures,” the Trump scion voiced concerns that if his father, former President Donald Trump, fails to secure absolute immunity, it could pave the way for many prosecutions against other presidents.

Pointing to the White House cocaine discovery last July, where Secret Service agents found a small baggie containing cocaine in a vestibule near the Situation Room, Eric Trump emphasized the potential legal ramifications.

Despite an 11-day investigation by the Secret Service that failed to identify a suspect, Eric Trump suggested that prosecutors could target Biden for the incident, as well as other actions, such as depleting petroleum reserves to lower gas prices ahead of the 2022 primaries.

The recent Supreme Court hearing on presidential immunity, initiated by former President Trump, has significant implications for ongoing legal battles.

By challenging the notion of absolute immunity, Trump has delayed his 2020 election subversion trial, initially scheduled for March 4. Eric Trump echoed concerns raised by his father’s legal team, warning of potential repercussions if former presidents are not shielded by immunity, suggesting that prosecutors could target past administrations for various alleged offences.

Eric Trump highlighted the potential targeting of former President Obama for the “Fast and Furious” operation and speculated about legal scrutiny against other presidents, including George W. Bush for the Iraq War’s weapons of mass destruction narrative.

Donald Trump, facing 88 criminal counts across four indictments, is the first sitting or former US president to be criminally charged. He has maintained his innocence and pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Expressing certainty about legal challenges looming for President Biden, Eric Trump hinted at potential investigations but remained vague about who might initiate them.

While his father has previously discussed appointing a special prosecutor to investigate the Biden family, President Biden has refrained from intervening in his predecessor’s legal affairs.

The Supreme Court’s decision on presidential immunity, expected by July, will have far-reaching implications for future legal proceedings involving former presidents. The outcome could prompt further examination by lower courts, particularly regarding the distinction between private and official presidential actions.
